Mr. Andrekovich has coached wrestling on some level for most of his time at Bellwood-Antis.

Freshman wrestler Julian Bartlebaugh said middle school teacher Mr. Tim Andrekovich is a lot to handle in the wrestling room.

A one-time junior high coach and now a varsity assistant, Mr. Andrekovich said, “A few kids come to mind when I think of some of the toughest kids: Jeremy Wilson because he was like the energizer bunny-never stopped; Nate Claar, Nick Torsell and Caleb Knisely with their strength.  I knew better to wrestle Keith Shawley.”

Mr. Andrekovich teaches seventh grade World Geography and eighth grade history.  He is known to be an outstanding varsity wrestling coach, coaching now for 15 years.

“I can wrestle for a very short periods of time.  I’m too old and out of shape, it’s a young man’s sport,” said Mr. Andrekovich.

This year is Mr. A’s 30th year teaching, all of them at Bellwood.

“It’s a great place to live and raise a family.  I chose to live here so that my kids could attend a great school where the staff care about the kids in and out of the classroom,” said Mr. Andrekovich.

Mr. A has a passion for wrestling and loves the sport, but mostly he wants to see kids progress over the years and see them get better. He has been an assistant junior high coach, twice, the head junior high coach for six years, and the assistant varsity coach for five years.
