Joey Dorminy & Caroline Nagle were recently elected to be ninth grade officers.

Just a few months ago Joe Dorminy and Caroline Nagle were middle school students. Now they’re the new leaders of the B-A Class of 2021. We had the chance to catch up with these freshmen to talk about their new role as high school students. Here’s what we found out…

President Joe Dorminy:

Q: What made you run for president?

A: I felt like i could help with fellow students.

Q: What do you plan to do as president?

A: I would consult classmates on any decisions I need to make.

Q: How did you get people to vote you as president?

A:  i gave out gum to classmates and hoped for the best.

Q: Are you excited to be president?

A: yes, I’m very excited to be president!

Q: Why do you think people voted for you?

A: I don’t know i really just hoped for the best.

Q: What are you nervous about president?

A: I’m nervous about making mistakes.

Vice president Caroline Nagle:

Q: What made you run for president?         

A: I didn’t think that many people would run for it.

Q: What do you plan to do as president?

A: As much as I can, better lunches, less dresscode, more phone.

Q: How did you get people to vote you as president?

A: I brought in food and made stickers.

Q: Are you excited to be president?

A: I’m very excited because it’s a great opportunity.

Q: Why do you think people voted for you?

A: I felt more approachable than my opponent.

Q: What are you nervous about president?

 A: I’m not nervous.

Some projects the new officers will be working on will be a recycling, and candy sale. We are very excited about our new president and vice president of the 9th grade class, and the changes they might make.
