Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to sit back and relax to enjoy what the Bellwood-Antis student body put together for the musical, Annie.

After prepping for this musical since January, Annie will run from May 6-11.

Mr. Bower, who is retiring at the end of this school year, is excited for his very last musical. He chose Annie as his last play because he feels that it fits the student body.

“This is the first year we had to open another night because the tickets sold out the first 5 nights. We sold 2,700 tickets!” Bower said.

Mr. Bower said that the challenges of producing a high school musical are scheduling and rehearsals because everything has to be perfect. Also, finding enough time to do everything is one of the biggest challenges because the students have other activities after school.

“The students are on schedule and doing very well,” Mr. Bower reported.

The BluePrint asked Mr. Bower if this one is special because it’s his last play at Bellwood-Antis. He responded, “No, because they are all special to me. This being my last year, I do want to make it memorable and worth all the hard work.”

Mr. Bower explained what the audience should expect when they go to see Annie. “The audience will definitely be entertained. There’s not one dull moment. If you show up having a bad day, this play will give you the opportunity to forget and have a smile on your face.”
