Star Athlete, Astounding Artist, and Impressive Intellectual. These are all words to describe the junior Meghan Claar. She is one of the top students at Bellwood-Antis High School and her artistic contributions to the school will go down in history as some of the best these halls have seen. Meghan is the daughter of Adam and Kristine Claar.

Meghan participates in LEO Club, National Honors Society, and Yearbook. Her time outside of school is spent on her sports: cross country, basketball, and track. She also enjoys art, mainly focusing on painting and drawing.

Junior Adam Osborne, one of Meghan’s friends, commented on Meghan as a person.

“She’s a really quiet and shy person before you actually get to know her. If you invest the time to befriend her you will really get a good friend. She is a really kind and good person,” he said.

Miss Kimberly Trostle has Meghan for AP Literature this year.

“Meghan is, by far, one of the most outstanding students that I have taught,” Trostle stated. “Bright, diligent, and caring! I have enjoyed having Meghan in class for the past two years. I know she will accomplish great things in life!”

The BluePrint recently spoke to Meghan about her time at Bellwood-Antis and what’s in store for senior year.

BluePrint: What are you looking forward to about your senior year?

Meghan: Getting closer to where I want to be and planning my future.

BluePrint: What do you like about Bellwood-Antis?

Meghan: I like how small it is, even though that’s sometimes infuriating. I like knowing everyone that I’m growing up with.

BluePrint: If you could retake any class at BA, what would it be and why?

Meghan: AP Lit; it was really cool to have a reading and discussion-oriented class.

BluePrint: Who inspires you and why?

Meghan: My mom inspires me because she works harder than anyone I know and is still going out of her way to help others on top of that. Also, Emma Watson is AMAZING, ha ha.

BluePrint: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Meghan: Hopefully graduated from college and working a great job in a big city.

BluePrint: What is something about yourself that no one at BAHS knows?

Meghan: I collect vintage copies of books, especially Wuthering Heights. My oldest one is from 1863.
