Bad Movies

Lordin Williams, Staff Writer

There are plenty of movies that are just, well…bad. I’m not sure what made the writers of these movies think these were ok, but next time someone needs to be brutally honest about how bad movie ideas are. I think the world will be a better place.

The Human Centipede 2 & 3- 2011, 2015

So the first movie was a bit of a stretch. A mad doctor turning people into a “human centipede” is probably one of the most sadistic and vomit inducing ideas I have ever heard of. When you take that idea to the big screen, it is even worse. I wish I could burn the memory of this movie out of my brain, but I can’t. I’m here to warn you about the catastrophe that is “The Human Centipede”. So take my advice and don’t even look at pictures of this movie, even that is too much. The second is even worse because it isn’t even the doctor from the original. It is a man who was inspired by the doctor and tries to copy what he did, and kills many in the process. The third is the worst. The doctor and man from the second join together in a prison to make a giant “centipede”. I…I don’t know and never will. Just stay away from these atrocities…please.

Slither- 2006

I hate this movie. When you want to talk about a movie that makes you cry, not because it’s sad, but because it’s bad, this is it. From the makeup to the acting, I wanted to crawl into a hole and cry for almost a whole day. It is about alien slugs that take over your body, not a very creative plot in my opinion. The makeup on the main antagonist is terrible. He honestly looks like a big pile of chewed up and spit out bubble gum that had blisters. He is definitely unappealing to the eyes. Not at all a movie I suggest to watch. The fact is that a movie like this was definitely going to be a fail. The strange thing is, the movie had actors that are good now. I think they had a realization and decided it was time to get better, such as Michael Rooker to Elizabeth Banks, I’d say they got much better.

Jack and Jill- 2011

This is probably Adam Sandler’s second worst movie, behind Little Nicky. In this, Adam plays Jack and his twin sister Jill. I can’t believe people actually thought this movie was going to be good. This movie was just plain dumb. It wasn’t funny and the whole time you were just waiting for something interesting to happen. It seems that Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB agrees, with the movie getting a 3% on Rotten and 3.4/10 on IMDB. This is definitely one of the worst “comedies” I’ve ever seen. I feel that Adam has started a very steep decline that he will not be able to get out of. I used to think he was one of the best comedians, now, I think he is one of the worst. I can see why they thought having Sandler play his sister as well would be a good idea, considering they are twins, but that doesn’t mean they had to look that much a like. They are fraternal, which means they don’t have to look a like, but the writers thought different. Not only that, but they make Jill on the bigger side and use that as a joke, which isn’t even that funny. I’m just saying that the entire movie was a disaster.
