Senior Tyler Long plays the cymbals in the Bellwood-Antis marching band, which he has done for the past two years of high school.

Tyler does not plan on participating in a band after high school, but that hasn’t stopped him from loving his time in band now.

The main thing Tyler likes about being in the band is being able to march at football games and parades. He also enjoys taking band trips in the summer. This summer, in June, the Bellwood-Antis band took a trip down to Disney world, and he enjoyed that experience.

“I had the pleasure of marching down Main Street in the Disney parade. I also got to go behind the scenes at Disney World and see how everything is run,” said Tyler .

During this school year, Tyler wants to learn how to play the drums on a drum set as well as become more experienced with the cymbals.

Mr. Sachse is excited to have Long in the Bellwood-Antis marching band.

“He joined us last year with no instrument experience and is now confidently doing a great job with the cymbals,” Mr. Sachse said.
