Max Miller was the winner of the first-ever Virtual Talent Show.

The BAMS recently hosted a virtual talent show. It consisted of student and teacher acts, and teacher versus teacher competitions. At the very end of it, a winner was selected.

The middle school students spoke, and voted 5th grader, Max Miller, as the winner! He sang the song Old Town Road by Little Nas X. We interviewed him to find out what made him want to enter the competition, his thoughts on winning, and more!

Our first question for Max was what made him want to enter the talent show. He responded, “Ever since kindergarten, I have always wanted to be in the talent show, but I didn’t know what I wanted to do. Then when 5th grade came around, I heard there would be a winner, so I decided to join.”

Then we asked him how he picked his act/song? He replied, “I was going to go with Octopus’s Garden by The Beatles, but then I went with Old Town Road because a lot of people knew that song, and I already knew all of the lyrics.”

Our next question was did you have anyone specific that encouraged you to enter? Max said, “My mom encouraged me after I talked to her about it.”

We also asked Max how excited he was when the announcers came to his homeroom, and he remarked, “I had no idea what to think because out of all the people in the show, there were a lot with a lot of talent. It was a hot competition.”

Our final question was how happy were you when the announcers said you were the winner? Max responded with, “I was so excited!” He also mentioned that everything has been so positive since he won.

The BluePrint would like to use this opportunity to congratulate Max on his win! Way to go!
