From the time junior Julia Burns could speak she was ready to sing. This makes her a perfect choice for this week’s “Artist of the Week”.

Julia was born into a family that loved music, so it only made sense she developed a talent for singing. In fact Julia claims her biggest influence is her mother stating, “she encourages me to keep going.” 

Julia works on strengthening her skills, and attends voice lessons from teacher Kelly Heartmen. “With help from my vocal coaches my voice has gotten much stronger” says Julia.

Julia looks forward to continuing her musical efforts in high school. She plans to audition for district chorus as well as future musicals.

“I love performing and having fun” Julia said.
