ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Abby Waters

Abby has been a steady force all year for the B-A volleyball team. She is the only senior on the team and has shown great leadership in that role.
For that reason Abby has been chosen by the Blueprint as athlete of the week.
Not only has Abby shown improvement from last season to this season, so has the team. Last year the team finished with a record of 5-13 overall, and 5-10 in the ICC. This year they turned it around and have a record of 14-5 overall, and 11-2 in the ICC. The team finished this season third in the ICC North behind undefeated West Branch, and 8-1 Claysburg.
In her career, Abby has played a total of 57 sets, while racking up 20 kills, 20 aces, and 120 digs.
When asked about her Senior season Abby Waters said, “It’s been a great season with a great group of teammates,” and also brought up that, “We all worked hard in the offseason.”
Abby and the rest of the volleyball team will look to continue their successful season tonight in their first home playoff game against Ferndale.
