Feature Teacher: Mrs. Carney
Math teacher Mrs. Holly Carney has been at Bellwood-Antis High School for 14 years, and in that time she has seen a lot of changes, from technology to rules.
With all that said, it hasn’t dampened her love for teaching at the high school level.
Mrs. Carney started teaching in the 2008-2009 school year. While she said she could see herself teaching in college, she’s happy as a high school teacher.
As an animal lover, if she could have any other job it would be to work with animals.
She has 3 kids and a husband. She loves spending time with her family and loves helping her son with martial arts.
Mrs. Carney always has a positive outlook on students and tries to help them as much as she can; however; she knows how to stay in control.
Beyond that, Mrs. Carney is one of those math teachers who always knows how to make students understand complicated concepts.
The change Mrs. Carney has noticed most about Bellwood-Antis School District is increasing technology, which, she said, has had a a big input on all schools, from computers to Chromebook to tablets to iPads.
