The BluePrint’s  newest Feature Teacher is Mrs. Gonder. She is a 5th grade teacher at the Bellwood-Antis Middle School whom most would call kind.

Mrs. Gonder has been a teacher for 34 years.

The biggest change about students in all her years teaching was “students are more tech savvy.”

When Mrs. Gonder started teaching at B-A, students were still using word processors and type writers for essays. Now, she observed, “each student has their own district-provided iPad. Each classroom has a Smart TV. Many digital platforms are used in the classroom.”

Mrs. Gonder’s fellow teachers appreciate her efforts.

“She’s pretty cool,” said Mr. Conlon.

She chose to be a teacher because she enjoys helping people, and her students love having her in class.

“She’s the nicest teacher,” one of her students said. “She rarely gives us homework.”

In Mrs. Gonders free time she likes spending time with family, hiking and fishing.

Mrs. Gonder is certified to teach k-6th.
