FCA advisor Mr. Nick Lovrich has decided to extend the St. Vincent DePaul cereal drive by another week.

The drive will now end on March 6.

The cereal drive is an annual initiative by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes to help feed needy families in our area.

District-wide, Bellwood-Antis has collected a total of 359 cereal boxes thus far. In the middle and high school, the homeroom with the most boxes will be rewarded with a pizza party.

In the high school, Mr. Van Scoyoc’s homeroom is leading the race with 47 boxes, followed by Mrs. Elder’s with 29, and then Mrs. Soisson’s with 20 boxes.

The competition is just as close in the middle school since Mr. Hunter’s class gathered 45 boxes, Mrs. Burns’s homeroom collected 31, and Mr. Trexler’s group accumulated 22 cereal boxes so far.

All boxes collected got to the St. Vincent DePaul food pantry in Altoona.
