The Ice Spikes won last year’s Aevidum volleyball tournament.

For the second year, Aevidum is hosting a volleyball tournament prior to the Easter Break.

The games will take place on Wednesday, March 27 during periods 1-4.

There will be 20 teams total, including a teachers team. The tournament will feature two nets set up in the high school gymnasium with play occurring simultaneously at both nets and will have a winners and a losers bracket.

The cost for each team is $10 and all money raised will be donated to The Door.

The tournament started last year as a way to let off some steam the day before Easter Break similar to Aevidum’s Activity Fair which takes place the day students leave for Christmas break.

Last year, The Ice Spikes, a team of juniors but now seniors – Jase Hostler, Shawna Lovrich, Kate Heisler, Jake Mercer, Joe Dorminy, and Miranda Tornatore – came out with a win in the championship game.
