Ms. Alexandra Terrizzi is a long-term substitute teacher at B-A, taking over the open position for teaching art. The spot had been filled by Mr. Zachary Spaw earlier this year until he became the new high school music teacher.

The art spot is vacated with the absence of Mrs. Leah McNaul.

When asked what it was like teaching art, she said, “I lover it! Everyone is really respectful and hardworking.”

This is also Ms. Terrizzi’s very first “real” teaching position.

This is my first real teaching experience.

— Ms. Terrizzi

When it comes to teaching, Ms. Terrizzi says her favorite thing would have to be the interaction between students! She also loves getting to know the students and having great conversations with them.

Her favorite aspect of art is teaching things with real-world applications.

“Ceramics, I love making art that’s functional,” she said.

Ms. Terrizzi went to college mainly at Penn State, but also went to Millersville for 2 years as well.

As a goal, Ms. Terrizzi said she would like to create art that the students love and are proud of.
