Senior Sunrise tradition continues

Senior+Sunrise+tradition+continues

On the morning of August 28th, thirty-five members of the Class of 2024 joined on the practice field to watch the sun rise and kick off the school year. The group met at approximately 6:15am to see a cloudy sky with light slowly coming through.

The Senior Sunrise tradition began last school year with the Class of 2023. The goal was to bring the grade together and share a memorable moment for one of the first days of school. This year’s class is thrilled to carry on the new tradition with a record number of attendees.

Corry Shanafelt, a senior who helped get everyone to the field, had a good morning with his peers.

“It was a nice activity to start the school year,” Corry noted.

The Class of ‘24 hopes to have a full-circle moment at the end of this year, by watching a sunset on one of the final days of school.
