The Blue Devils are indeed number one!
Last Friday the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devil boys’ basketball team went up against the Juniata Valley Hornets at the Bellwood-Antis High School gymnasium.
The boys played a pretty tough game, but came out on top with a 79-65 victory win over Juniata Valley.
Nathan Davis was on fire Friday, leading the team by scoring 26 points. Jake Burch came out scoring 20 points. Jarrett Tanneyhill scored ten points, including 12 rebounds.
The boys are now 4-1.
The Blue Devil basketball team plays tonight at home against West Branch in a key early-season battle that could influence the direction of the ICC.
The Lady Blue Devils were on fire once again on Friday taking the undefeated Lady Hornets down at the Juniata Valley High School gym.
Both teams played a tough game, but he Lady Blue Devils came out on top with a 66-53 victory.
Karson Swogger led the team with 22 points. Ana Hollen followed close behind by scoring 17. Kelly Leamer scored 15 points.
The Lady Blue Devils have a record of 5-1. Their only loss was in the finals of the Lester McCall Memorial Tip-Off Tournament against Blairsville.
