Winnie the Pooh is one of the most legendary fictional characters introduced way back then in 1926.

Winnie the Pooh is a good-natured, yellow-furred, honey-loving bear.

Winnie the Pooh was based of a black bear who lived at ZSL London Zoo from 1915 until she died in 1934. Winnie was sold for $20 at a train stop in Ontario, British Columbia, reportedly by a hunter who likely killed her mother.

Most people don’t know the backstory to Winnie the Pooh. Most think it is just a made up character.

National Winnie the Pooh Day on January 18th commemorates author A.A. Milne’s birthday in 1882. He brought the adorable, honey-loving bear to life in his stories, which also featured his son, Christopher Robin.
