Jace Rimmey stars as Randolph MacAfee in the up-coming spring production!

In the up-and-coming musical production of Bye Bye Birdie this spring, Jace Rimmey will star as Randolph MacAfee! In the show, Randolph is Kim MacAfee’s younger brother. He is extremely overlooked, but when he is acknowledged, he isn’t given much respect.

We asked him a few questions about his musical journey and what he’s looking forward to most:

Blueprint: What is your role in the musical?

Jace: Randolph MacAfee

Blueprint: Why did you choose to participate?

Jace: I love singing and I love musicals.

Blueprint: What is your favorite thing about being in the musical?

Jace: I got to meet a bunch of people, and they’re so nice.

Blueprint: Have you participated in previous musicals before?

Jace: Yes, my first one was in sixth grade.

Blueprint: What can the audience expect from this performance of Bye Bye Birdie?

Jace: I think this musical is going to be great. People are going to see a great musical!

Blueprint: Did you know about Bye Bye Birdie before the musical was decided upon?

Jace: When I heard about auditions, I was immediately excited! I didn’t know about it before.

Blueprint: Who do you think the audience’s favorite character will be and why?

Jace: Maybe Conrad.

Blueprint: Give us your best pitch on why people should come see the musical.

Jace: You should come to the musical because this musical is going to be a really great musical!

Congratulations Jace! We can’t wait to see the production!
