Jordan Hance has a passion for creating art, which makes him the Artist of the Week!

Jordan is a sophomore at Bellwood-Antis and partakes in football and wrestling. He enjoys writing, drawing, playing sport based video games, swimming, and listening to music.

Currently in his high school Ceramics and Painting art class he is working with water colors to paint a feather, although this is not his first time working with the medium. Before his current project, he painted a vibrant and warm flower on paper and created a set of ceramic mugs, plates, and bowls along with a clay skull.

“I really enjoy how I can just let imagination go and make whatever is in my head come to life kinda,” stated Jordan. “It’s just nice seeing what I’m thinking of come to a physical form.”

Jordan stated that drawing and letting his imagination go gets his mind off of things and allows him to express himself fully.

After high school, Jordan plans to get an apprenticeship for cosmetology and eventually become a barber at Stallions Barbershop in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He still plans to do art for fun during his free time.

Jordan advises other students who wish to partake in the arts to just give it a try and play around with it, and see what you like and don’t like to do. “Let your imagination go, you can make literally anything you can think of.”

Great job Jordan!
