Trinity Riva stars as Rose Alvarez in the up-coming spring production!

In the up-and-coming musical production of Bye Bye Birdie this spring, Trinity Riva stars as Rose Alvarez. Rose is Albert Peterson’s receptionist and love interest in the musical.

We asked her a few questions about her musical journey and what she’s looking forward to most:

Blueprint: What is your role in the musical?

Trinity: Rose Alvarez

Blueprint: Why did you choose to participate?

Trinity: I’ve done theatre my whole life and after going three shows in the last year, I couldn’t wait for one last one with people I love.

Blueprint: What is your favorite thing about being in the musical?

Trinity: My favorite thing is the memories we make during rehearsals and the feeling of adrenaline we get that is rewarded with the applause.

Blueprint: Have you participated in previous musicals before?

Trinity: I have! Ar the school I’ve done Annie, High School Musical Jr, Beauty and the Beast, and Grease. I’ve also done sparkle shows, les miserable, Oliver! And Matilda at the Mishler.

Blueprint: What can the audience expect from this performance of Bye Bye Birdie?

Trinity: The audience can expect to laugh a lot and see some fun dancing.

Blueprint: Did you know about Bye Bye Birdie before the musical was decided upon?

Trinity: Honestly, not really.

Blueprint: Who do you think the audience’s favorite character will be and why?

Trinity: I think that the audience will really enjoy Miranda Tornatore’s character Mae Peterson because she’s really hilarious and its great to see what someone newer to theatre can do with a character.

Blueprint: Give us your best pitch on why people should come see the musical.

Trinity: Its a great laugh with some songs that will make you dance in your seat. It’s also a great opportunity to support your peers.

Congratulations Trinity! We can’t wait to see what you bring to the production!
