Blue Devils knock out the Knights
The Bellwood-Antis Blue Devil boys’ basketball team traveled to Moshannon Valley to take on the Knights last night.
The Blue Devils played a rough game, but still came out with a 66-56 victory.
Nathan Davis led the team making four 3-pointers and scored 24 points.
“We definitely didn’t play our best game, but a win is a win,” said Davis. “It’s good to get ugly wins sometimes, now we just have to get ready for the tough games coming up.”
B-A plays Tussey Mountain Thursday before facing Southern Fulton in the ICC championship game Saturday. All that before beginning the District 6-AA playoffs as the No. 5 seed against Penn Cambria.
Joey Padula followed Davis scoring 14 points. Ethan McGee scored 8 points and Jake Burch and Jarrett Taneyhill scored 6 points. Noah D’Angelo helped by scoring 5 points.
Burch agreed with Davis. He said, “It wasn’t the best win, and we have to work on some things in practice today to get ready for a big game tomorrow.”
McGee said a good start will be the key to playing Tussey Mountain.
“Tomorrow we need to come out hot and put them away early,” he said. “They are a good team so we need to get stops defensively and execute on offense. It’s a good tune up game for our next upcoming games.”
The Blue Devils record is now 16-5 overall.
