Yesterday the Tyrone/Bellwood-antis soccer team fell to the Bellefonte Raiders at Roger’s Stadium by the final score 5-1.
This is Tyrone’s second loss in a row after losing on Senior Night to Bald Eagle Area, 3-2. They are looking to bounce back and win their final game of the year against the Penns Valley Rams at home on Wednesday.
Sophomore Noah Gulvas continued his breakout season against Bellefonte with an other goal. Noah is only a sophomore and still two years left.
The Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis soccer team is siting at 8-8-1. They are looking to stay above .500 and make the playoffs. Their opponent Wednesday, Penns Valley, is 12-3-1 and a very good opponent to finish of the year with.
GIRLS LOSE TO LADY HEIGHLANDERS
The Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis girls soccer team lost a close one to Cambria Heights last night, dropping a 2-1 decision at home.
All of the scoring occurred in the first half, with Tyrone’s Liv Newlin netting the Lady Eagles’ goal.
Tyrone had a handful of opportunities in the second half but couldn’t capitalize.
It was the fifth straight loss for the Lady Eagles, who dropped to 4-11-1.
