Being a good student-athlete requires you to not only be good on the field of play, but in the classroom, as well.
That is the perfect depiction of Jenna Norton, a senior forward for the Lady Blue Devil basketball team. She is one of the most consistent pieces of the team and the backbone for their success.
Not only is she a key contributor to the Lady Blue Devils team, she is also top 5 in cumulative GPA for the class of 2025.
For this reason, Jenna Norton is this week’s BluePrint Athlete of The Week.
Eight games into the season, Jenna is averaging, 7.4 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 1.6 APG, and to go along with that she leads the team with 2.3 steals per game. Most recently, she had back to back games in double figures when the Lady Devils went 1-1 in the Fred B. Miller Memorial Holiday Basketball Tournament in Tyrone over Christmas break.
Jenna has been playing basketball since elementary school and has used all of that time to perfect her skills for her final basketball season. As of now, Jenna does not plan on continuing her career collegiately; however she has not ruled out joining a club team.
In all her years of playing, her favorite part of basketball is getting to play with her teammates. Jenna is a selfless player who is willing to do whatever her team needs to win.
One goal that Jenna has for this basketball season is to win a district championship and qualify for the state tournament.
Jenna attributes head coach, Kylie Longo, for her growth and improvement as a basketball player, and she says that her parents are her biggest role models.
After high school, Jenna plans on attending college to major in biochemistry to go into medicine or engineering.
