Bellwood-Antis faced off in a lopsided loss against Bellefonte Wednesday. The offense competed in the first half of the game but fell flat in the second half. B-A’s inconsistency on offense continued its trend.
The Blue Devils dropped their ninth game of the season with a final score of 53-21.
B-A battled with the Raiders in the first half. The boys came out to an early 11-9 lead in the first quarter. Bellefonte soon found some rhythm on offense and took a 22-18 lead heading into the half.
Jackson Dorminy totaled eight points and Martin Fatzinger hit two threes to register six. The offense nearly disappeared the rest of the game.
“The second half was rough offensively, and that resulted from us not being aggressive and attacking the hoop,” senior Holden Schreier said.
Bellefonte came out hot in the second half. The Raiders scored 17 points in the third. Quinn Eckley-Jones dropped 20 points to lead the offensive charge. Liam Halterman followed suit with 13 of his own. B-A went scoreless in the third quarter.
Bellefonte sealed the game in the fourth by putting up 14 more to their total. The Raiders held the Blue Devils to only three points in the second half.
The boys will now travel to Clearfield Friday night at 7:30. The Bison are currently 2-5 on the year.
