Rowan Kyle has committed to Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a major in history.
Located in Indiana, Pennsylvania, IUP College is a public research university. She chose IUP because it has a high acceptance rate.
Rowan said she was excited to get into IUP because it was her top choice of schools.
College life is certainly a change of pace from high school, however Rowan believes she’ll be able to adapt to this pretty well. She isn’t doing it alone either, as her “BSF” Hannah Waite is coming along with her.
With her degree, she hopes to eventually become a history teacher, and noted that Bellwood impacted her decision with its variety of history-based classes. Out of all the history classes that Bellwood-Antis has, Rowan said that she will miss history in film, taught by Mrs. Auberzinski, the most.
“I love history, and the class is just full of watching movies and figuring out if it’s historically accurate,” Rowan said. “It’s a great time and I learn new things every day.”
As for advice she would give to the underclassmen, Rowan recommended to stay laid back.
“Not everything is that serious,” she said.
