The 2025 Homecoming Sideline Cancer T-shirt sale at Bellwood-Antis is off to a great start. So far, the Homecoming court has sold over 1,000 shirts in total, crushing last year’s sales by over 400 shirts.
Last year’s court totaled a donation of over $5,000 dollars to Sideline Cancer.
Homecoming advisor Mrs. Ali Stinson has been impressed by the efforts of this year’s court to raise funds for a good cause.
“The amount of money that was raised so far by the Homecoming candidates, their escorts, courts and families is truly amazing,” she said. “With the community sale set to start next week, the basket raffle and a few other ideas, I can’t wait to see how much money we can raise for our recipients. It’s going to be a night full of love and hope!”
The court and community hope to crush last year’s fundraising total, which was significant.
This year’s court consists of Lily McNelis, Marissa Cacciotti, Alyssa Briggs, Lilly Gerwert, Chloe Stoltzfus, and Lindsay Campbell.
“It’s great that we can do this and raise money for a good cause,” Gerwert said. “I’m very proud of all of us.”
The funds raised by this sale will go to Sideline Cancer, an organization dedicated to helping those in local communities battling cancer.
Last year, money raised from the t-shirt sale went to Lacey Hanna and Trisha Beeler, two local women who were battling breast cancer. The Homecoming committee will announce the recipients of this year’s fundraiser next week.
The massive results of the t-shirt sale come before the sale has even been opened to the public.
The Homecoming football game, which takes place October 3, will also have a new fundraiser this year – a basket raffle to raise even more money to support local people battling cancer.
