Hailey Fetterman makes a statement with her array of hair colors.

Sophomore Hailey Fetterman is the girl around school that has dyed her hair 9 different colors orange, blonde, black, blue, pink, purple, green, teal and red. She always feels passionate about dying her hair bright colors.

She said, “I feel that by dying my hair bright colors I can express who I am better to other people. I feel like it gives people a sense of warning to who I am personality wise before they really talk to me, which can be sometimes scary.”

Hailey is also involved in singing competitions. She started singing in front of people around age five at her old church, but she never got into competitions until she started going to her youth group, Refuge, which she attends every Tuesday night at New Life in Pinecroft.

“I don’t have any specific goals, really. I just want people to see what I’m capable of,” said Hailey.

She looks up to Mrs. Adams here at B-A, because she has helped her through a lot that has happened to her since the start of the New Year.

Her favorite food is pizza, her favorite subject is math, and her favorite movie is Annabelle.

The only way she feels like she has changed since freshman year is her attitude towards things. Hailey said, “I used to stress myself out over everything and now I only worry about getting done what needs to be done.”

She said if she could go back she would give freshman her advice. “I would go back and tell myself not to stress over the small things like boys and friends, and to focus on my work. After high school not many people are going to stick with me on my move in life, and I’m seeing now that it’s okay.”

She said the best part of going to school at Bellwood is the small group of friends that include Michaela Miller and Alli McCaulley.

She has set goals for her next 2 years of high school.

“For the next two years of high school my goals are be the best student, academically, that I can be. I’m going to fully focus on my grades and what I need to do to graduate and get into college,” said Hailey.
