Jackson Weiand has big shoes to fill because his father was a legend in the early 2000’s of Bellwood-Antis history. Jackson, following in his father’s footsteps, participating in football and baseball just like his father. Jackson says that the person that inspires him the most is his father which is interesting because he does the same sports as his father once did and following the legend Shawn’s path.

Shawn was a 2004 graduate and was quite the athlete participating in baseball, basketball, and football. He lettered in all three sports and was an honor roll student. He was athlete of the week on the Altoona Mirror and All Star for football and baseball state champ. Let’s just say Jackson has a lot to live up too in his high school career
Some of Jackson’s favorite things to do are watching movies, going for walks, and playing football. Jackson plays a big part on the Bellwood-Antis JV football team, playing safety, where he recorded three interceptions. This spring, Jackson will be playing baseball pitching for the JV team. He could also see some time on the mound for the varsity squad.
His plans for after high school are too “go to college and travel the world” Jackson says. When it comes to friends, he says that he couldn’t just pick one, so his best friends are Luke Gonzalaez and Heston Mountain who is also his cousin and they are in fact very close.
“Jackson is a very funny and respectable person” Mountain says.
