This week’s Fab Freshmen is Sophie Lovrich, who is as close to a legacy student at Bellwood-Antis as you can get.
Sophie is involved in FCA, Renaissance Club, and Mini-Thon. She is also a part of the volleyball team for Bellwood-Antis. Sophie is also the freshmen class president.
“I ran for class president to gain experience in a leadership position and be able to voice opinions for my classmates,” stated Sophie.
Sophie is really honored that her classmates voted for her to be the president.
Sophie stated, “To me, it means that I get to work alongside my best friends, the other officers, and I get to make freshmen year better for my fellow classmates.”
In her role, she has a say for the freshmen class events, a major event being the freshmen class party.
Sophie is liking high school so far compared to middle school. She likes the freedom in high school.
This also is not the first time a Lovrich was freshmen class president. Her brother Cooper, a senior, was class president his freshmen year.
In fact, the Lovrich family has been ingrained at Bellwood-Antis for the better part of the last 40 years. Sophie’s father Shawn graduated in 1993 and her uncle Nick, B-A’s health and PE teacher as well as its football and track coach, graduated in 1991. She also has aunts and cousins who have attended and graduated from B-A.
“I feel very blessed to be a part of a family like the Lovrich’s and to have such an amazing influence on my life,” Sophie said.
We wish Sophie the best luck to the second half of her freshmen year!
