“Yo, Yo, Yo,” is something you’ll hear frequently from Student Teacher Mr. Morabito, who has easily become a favorite among the students of Mr. McNaul’s Civics Class, making him a great choice for this week’s Feature Teacher.
Mr. Morabito decided to become a teacher because he wanted to make a change, just like the many influential teachers that he had throughout his life within the Parkland School District in Allentown, Pennsylvania
In the classroom, Mr. Morabito is passionate about the Civics subject and expressed its relevancy in today’s society. “Regardless of who you support [politically], it’s very important to be informed with news and to know your role in society.”
Mr. Morabito has been working under Mr. McNaul since this fall. McNaul, who has taught Civics at Bellwood-Antis for nearly 15 years, said that Morabito has done well implementing and using different instructional strategies to engage students. “He does well at leading the class and making the environment fun and meaningful,” said McNaul. Morabito also expressed his appreciation for McNaul, saying that he has helped him greatly by passing along good feedback, pointing out areas of change, and pointing out his strengths in the classroom.
Students are also big fans of the chill vibes Mr. Morabito brings to the classroom. Student Nolan Clouse likes the fact that Mr. Morabito allows partner work and collaboration.
As far as hobbies, it’s all basketball for Morabito, who keeps up with the NBA religiously and is a fan of the Charolette Hornets. “I am a basketball head,” he remarked, “I watch the NBA almost every night.” Also, he is getting himself a decent record collection of over 100 vinyl records, mostly of his favorite genre: R&B.
As Morabito’s time is winding down at B-A, he hopes to take the advice he obtained from McNaul’s Civics classroom to be a teacher and coach in his hometown of Allentown, PA, along with settling down to have a family.

I have to say I’m more impressed by the fact LeBron James commented on this article.
