Tina Hollen won her match in straight sets.

The Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis girls’ co-op soccer team lost a tough one yesterday against undefeated Central 5-4.

Tyrone scored the first goal six minutes into the game and held the lead for nearly twenty minutes against the deadly Central attack. Central scored two goals in the tail end of the first half to take a 2-1 lead heading into the break.

In the second half, Central added another right off the bat to take a two goal lead. Senior Marissa Panasiti got a goal back for Tyrone five minutes later. However, the one-goal deficit would be at a premium for Tyrone in the second half. Over a minute and nine second span later that half, Tyrone and Central traded two goals apiece with Riley D’Angelo and Raegan Plowman scoring the goals for Tyrone.

Tyrone’s record fell to 6-5 with the Central Dragons remaining undefeated at 11-0.

The Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis girls’ co-op tennis team also had a match yesterday losing 3-2 to Central Mountain.

Tina Hollen, whose only blemish was to Central Mountain earlier this season, avenged her loss when she beat Jolee McCluckey in straight sets. How climactic!
