Myers Feature Teacher: Mrs. Berardinelli

Mrs. Berardinelli is a reading specialist at Myers.

This month’s Myers Elementary feature teacher is Mrs. Berardinelli!

Mrs. Berardinelli teaches reading intervention at Myers Elementary. She is a graduate from Altoona Area High School and Penn State University.

Before moving to Bellwood Mrs. Berardinelli taught in California for eight years. She has been teaching at Bellwood for six years and enjoys working with such an incredibly caring staff.

Her inspiration to follow this career path came from observing a good friend of hers that was a reading specialist.

“I job shadowed her one time and I was really blown away by her job and it was something I wanted to strive for,” she said.

She chose elementary over middle and high school because she really enjoys teaching small children.

Observing children who struggle and then eventually grow into readers is a favorite perk of teaching for Mrs. Berardinelli.

Whenever Mrs. Berardinelli isn’t teaching, she enjoys being outside and spending time with her family.
