She is! Penn State!: Marissa Panasiti

College Bound Q&A

Marissa Panasiti

BluePrint: What college were you accepted into?

Panasiti: I was accepted at Penn State Altoona.

BluePrint: How many colleges did you apply to?

Panasiti: PSU Altoona was the only college I applied to.

BluePrint: What made you apply to this specific college?

Panasiti: My mom works at University Park, so in order to get a 75% discount I had to choose a PSU campus. It’s close to home and I was also offered a spot on the soccer team, so that’s why my finally decision was Altoona.

BluePrint: What are you planning on majoring in?

I am looking forward to feeling more free and independent as a young adult.

— Marissa Panasiti

Panasiti: I want to major in Biology.

BluePrint: What made you choose this specific major?

Panasiti: I’ve always enjoyed any of the sciences. Biology is the most interesting to me and it will also lead to medical school.

BluePrint: What do you think will be some of the major differences between college and high school?

Panasiti: Independent versus dependent learning. In college, you’re expected to be able to teach yourself outside of the classroom. However, I am looking forward to feeling more free and independent as a young adult.

BluePrint: What are your feelings on moving on from Bellwood-Antis High School?

Panasiti: I’m incredibly excited to start a new chapter in my life. I will never forget my time at Bellwood-Antis, and I feel blessed that I got to grow up in such an amazing community.
