Sejniors Lynnea Burr, Mallory Harold and Olivia Gailey were recognized by the Altoona Mirror for being among 20 outstanding members of the local community under 20 years of age.

The Altoona Mirror featured Bellwood-Antis students – Lynnea Burr, Mallory Harold, and Olivia Gailey – in itsannual 20 Under 20 feature.

This program recognizes 20 high school students under the age of 20 for academics, engagement in arts, and community service.

Burr said she felt very blessed that she received such an honor and recognition. She also said that she can use this milestone as an endeavor in her future job and opportunities.

Burr is involved in extracurriculars, such as volleyball and performing arts. Burr also does community service and tries to be a good role model.

“One thing that makes me stand out is that I treat everyone kindly and I’m there for everyone if they need advice,” Burr said.

Harold said that she felt that it’s a great honor to get the award.

“It was really interesting to be with all the different people that were there and to be considered part of that group,” Harold said.

Harold won many awards through PTAs and has done over 40 hours of community service. Harold also shadowed a surgeon at the Altoona Hospital in the OR for 60 and up hours.

Gailey got the award for the second time and said that she felt honored to get it again.

“I enjoy giving back to my community. I also enjoy being involved in the arts,” Gailey said.
