The Lady Blue Devils volleyball team kicked off their season last night with a home opener against the Juniata Valley Lady Hornets.

Unfortunately B-A couldn’t get it done at home, losing 3-1 in sets. JV took charge with a win in the first set before the Lady devils battled back to it it 1-1 after two. Howver, it was all Lady Hornets from there.

Sakeria Haralson, Karlie Feathers, and Sydney Lechner had standout games. Haralson contributed 14 kills, 6 digs, and 5 blocks. Lechner led the Lady Blue Devils with a towering 25 assists, and Feathers lead the team in aces with 3.

When asked how the team would bounce back for Thursday’s game, Lechner said, “Practicing more and working better as a team will get us ready for our game against Glendale,” she said.

The Lady Blue Devils next test is on Thursday at home against Glendale.
