Miss. Norman is a student teacher for Mr. Van Scoyoc at Bellwood-Antis High School. She is majoring in world language education French and Francophone studies. She is attending Penn state and will be graduating May 8. After college she is planning on subbing until she finds a opening for a French teacher.

BLUEPRINT: Why did you decide to be a French teacher?

Miss. Norman: I decided to be a French teacher because of my French teacher in Highschool.

BLUEPRINT: What high school did you go to?

Miss. Norman: I went to Greater Latrobe High School.

BLUEPRINT: How long have you been assisting Mr.Van Scoyoc?

Miss. Norman: I’ve been assisting Mr. Van Scoyoc for about 5 months. I started in January and will be here until May 4.

BLUEPRINT: What is your favorite part about Bellwood?

Miss. Norman: I like how close all the students and teachers are.

BLUEPRINT: How has it been beneficial teaching under Mr. VanScoyoc?

Miss. Norman: Mr. VanScoyc has helped me a lot to become a better teacher.

BLUEPRINT: What is your favorite thing about teaching?

Miss. Norman: My favorite part about teaching is getting to know the students and watching them grow.

BLUEPRINT: What school do you want to teach at?

Miss. Norman: I don’t have an exact school in mind. I would be okay with any school.

BLUEPRINT: When did you first show a interest in French?

Miss. Norman: I first showed a interest in French when I was un 7th grade.

BLUEPRINT: If you didn’t decide to be a teacher what would you have done instead?

Miss. Norman: If I wasn’t a teacher, I would have been a pastry chef.

BLUEPRINT: Outside of teaching, what are some of your interests?

Miss. Norman: Outside of teaching, I enjoy baking, hanging out with friends, and working out.

BLUEPRINT: What is your favorite memory from Bellwood?

Miss. Norman: My favorite memory is probably helping with the French restaurant. I was able to get to know students outside of a class setting.

BLUEPRINT: Did your high school experience influence your decision to teach?

Miss. Norman: Yes, I had a French teacher who made every class fun.

BLUEPRINT: Did you get to choose to go to Bellwood? If so, why?

Miss. Norman: I did not get to choose. They randomly assign you to a school, but I am very happy I received Bellwood!
