B-A hosted Hollidaysburg Wednesday evening. The Tiger’s immediately found momentum on offense and eased their way to a lopsided win.
Bellwood-Antis dropped their 17th of the season with a 59-28 final score.
Hollidaysburg opened the game with a strong first quarter. The Tigers registered 25 points to get rolling.
Ben Zimmerman led the offense with 17 points in the Tiger’s win. Brady Steiner followed with 15 of his own, and Kasen Metzger added 13.
The Blue Devils were kept to just 12 points in the first half. B-A entered the third quarter down 45-12.
Hollidaysburg’s offense cooled off in the second half. The Tigers picked up 10 more and kept B-A to only eight entering the fourth.
B-A’s top scorer Colin McClellan totaled seven in the loss. The Blue Devils were never able to get going offensively.
“We had to many turnovers which to them scoring points,” McClellan said. “We struggled with shooting from outside and decision making on plays.”
B-A put up eight in the fourth to finalize the game at 59-28.
Jackson Dorminy, the team’s leading scorer, was hampered after suffering a serious nose injury earlier in the week. He played the game in a plastic face mask.
The boys now start a three-game road trip starting with Central Cambria. This game will be played Friday at 7:30. The Red Devils are 10-6 on the year.
