The Lady Blue Devils basketball team went against the Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers on Saturday and Bellwood-Antis had no trouble winning this game. The final score was 56-14.
For B-A, junior Lilly Gerwert had a great game with 22 points. Senior Leigha Clapper and freshman Izzy Sloey also contributed in the win, as well, both having eight points each.
Bellwood-Antis had control for the entire game, with a 43-9 lead going into the half. They played very well both offensively and defensively.
“We moved the ball well and had a great team effort,” Clapper said.
B-A improved its overall record to 10-11, and 9-9 in their conference. P-O is now 3-18 this season.
The Lady Blue Devils next game is on Tuesday. They will go against Bald Eagle at home.
This is the last regular season game for Bellwood-Antis, and it gives B-A a chance to even its record at .500 heading into the postseason in the District 6 2A playoffs.
