Students enjoying themselves at the social.

Under the Sea… Yep, that was the theme for this year’s social. Many boys and girls wearing pretty blue dresses and handsome suit and ties attended the event, which was held on April 2. According to some of the students, many had the times of their lives there.

I had the chance to talk to a few friends as well as Mr. Trexler, Middle School Student Council adviser, about the social. Here’s what they had to say:

Question: How hard was it to create the social?

Mr. Trexler: It takes months to put together, but with the parents that volunteered, it was a lot easier and faster to create.

Question: Do you think students had fun?

Mr. Trexler: Yes, overall I think they had a great time, and if they didn’t they’re crazy.

Question: How do you think the decorations turned out?

Mr. Trexler: It was definitely in my top 3 in terms of events I’ve put together. It was well decorated and looked fantastic.

Question: Would you do this theme again?

Mr. Trexler: I probably won’t do it again because I haven’t really done two themes twice so far, but we will see.

Here is what two students had to say about the dance.

Seventh grader Trevor Miller: The food there was so cool because it was blue and tasty. The music was awesome, and everyone was dancing. The theme was the greatest part of it all around.

Seventh grader Karlee Feathers: The decorations were so cool. My friends and I had the greatest times of our lives.

And there you have it: Many students enjoyed themselves at the 7th and 8th grade social, and many of those can’t wait until next year!
