Noah D’Angelo scored his 20th goal of the season last week against Bellefonte.

Over the long weekend the Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis boys’ soccer team lost to Bellefonte. On Wednesday, the boys’ lost 2-1 in a closely contested game.

But senior Noah D’Angelo scored the lone goal, making his season total 20 on the year.   This breaks the single season record of 19 goals set by D’Angelo last year.

Earlier this season D’Angelo eclipsed the 50-goal plateau, and he is the program’s career goals leader.

“It’s definitely something to be proud of,” said D’Angelo when asked about the record, “I’ve worked hard to get to this point in my career, but being a senior, I have my eyes set on winning the district title. That’s the ultimate goal.”

On Thursday the Bellwood girls’ Volleyball lost to Claysburg-Kimmel in straight sets 25-21, 26-24, 25-21. Sophie Damiano led the Lady Blue Devils’ with 17 kills, Abby Luensmann added 26 digs and 17 assists.  This drops the girls’ record to 10-3 on the season.  Their next game is today at Tussey Mountain.
