Shayla Branstetter, seen here hugging her buddy Ali Dumin, is this month’s sensational sophomore.

This year sophomore Shayla Branstetter’s biggest goal for school was to improve her grades from her freshman year.

She actually enjoys school because she gets to see her friends every day.

Her favorite part about her sophomore year so far is that she gets to take different courses from last year. She plays on the girls varsity basketball team during the winter and in the spring time you can find her playing for the girls softball team.

Along with the sports she plays she is a part of the Spanish club.

Her favorite class this year is algebra 2 because while it’s challenging it’s still fun.

“She’s always there to brighten your day and she’s a good person,” said classmate Phoebe Potter

A random fact about our sensational sophomore is that her favorite color is pink.

One thing Shayla misses about freshman year are the teachers she had.
