This week’s Just Junior spotlight is on Thad Norton, a dedicated student-athlete at Bellwood-Antis.
Norton is involved in Mini-THON and FCA, and he’s also a lineman for the B-A football team and competes in the throwing events in track.
Norton enjoys track because it pushes him to challenge himself.
“It’s fun to be a part of a close-knit team and set goals to accomplish together,” he said about his football experience.
Norton’s favorite subject is math because he enjoys the challenge it brings.
Norton’s favorite teacher is Mr. Rhone because he enjoys the fun that Mr. Rhone’s jokes and humor bring to the classroom.
Outside of school, Norton spends his free time playing video games, listening to music, and watching movies. He also plays the drums, something he likes because he finds it fun to practice and learn new songs.
Last year, Norton worked behind the scenes for the school musical. He says he enjoyed the experience because it gave him the chance to build new friendships.
Looking ahead, Norton has set big goals for himself this school year. He hopes to reach the district championship with the football team and aims to stay on high honor roll for every marking period.
