Last week when the Bellwood-Antis football team celebrated another victory against Northern Bedford County Adam Bowers, who has been chosen as this week’s athlete of the week, had seven tackles and an interception.

Adam Bowers is a senior on the football team who has been playing since he was seven years old for the Southside Vikings. Aside from football, he is in NHS and is an assistant in the office.

“I liked to watch football on TV so I decided to I wanted to try and play football,” he said

Overall, Adam is pretty happy with his performance this season. A linebacker, he is second on the team with 56 tackles.

“I feel like I have been performing well the last few weeks,” he said. “But there is always room for improvement, and I need to get better everyday”

Adam works hard to get better.

“I go to practice every day, and try to make myself better there,” he said. “I lifted during the offseason to get stronger for this season.

Bowers is very team oriented player.

“My favorite thing about playing football is winning Friday nights with all of my friends.  There is no better feeling,” he said.

Adam would like for his team to win the District 6 championship and keep in mind that they are at the point that if they lose, they are done for the season.
