Not that we really need a day devoted to kindness but … today is that day.

Be nice to everyone, pay it forward, give what you get, do go to be good or in one simple saying, follow the Golden rule: Treat others how you want to be treated.

All of this is brought to the surface on November 13th, National Kindness Day.

What are some ways you can celebrate this day? Something as simple as opening a door for someone or reading a book to some kids, even paying your neighbor a compliment counts.

Kindness Day is brought to us by a couple of humanitarian groups that came together on November 13, 1997 and made a “Declaration of Kindness”. Keep the tradition going and put a smile on someone’s face.

No matter where you are, today is the day to make a stand by making someone smile.

But pledging to be nice for one day out of the year isn’t anything anything to be proud of. Make it count, be nice every day.
