Girls cross country wins big over Tyrone

Freshman Julie Kraft had a top-10 finish in B-A’s victory over Tyrone.

Last Wednesday the cross country teams traveled to Tyrone to take on the Golden Eagles.

The girls team won by a landslide, beating Tyrone by a score of 15-50.

Freshman, Blake Pennington finished first in the race for the girls, with a time of 22:20. Eight other B-A runners finished in the top 10 as well. This included Rylie Andrews (23:20), Peyton Hammond (25:06), Rorie Wolf (25:12), Julie Kraft (25:35), Chloe Stoltzfus (25:36), Karley Dickinson (27:48), Hailey Loupe (28:00), and Rowan Kyle (28:37).

The Lady Devils’ record improves to 7-3.

For the boys team, they suffered a 33-23 loss.

The top runner was Senior, Corry Shanafelt. He placed fourth with a time of 20:14. Other top finishers for the boys were Martin Fatzinger (20:54), Mason Nagle (21:09), Cameron Gallagher (21:18), Keagan Shanafelt (22:13), and Jacob Caracciolo (22:37).

The Blue Devils’ record fell to 4-6.
