Lady Blue Devils fall to Hollidaysburg

Leigha Clapper was BA’s leading scorer in a loss to Hollidaysburg on Wednesday.

Wednesday night, the Lady Devils basketball team lost to Hollidaysburg 62-40 on the road in their season opener.

After trailing 29-19 at halftime, the girls were able to come out in the second half and keep it close. With about three minutes left in the third they had it to an eight point game, with the score of 36-28. Hollidaysburg then wen ton a run and never looked back to win it by 22.

Junior Leigha Clapper led the Blue Devil’s in scoring, ending the game with 13 points with three 3-pointers.

The girls will start their season 0-1 and will look to bounce back in their home opener on Friday against Somerset.
