Boys basketball falls to Bald Eagle

Holden Schreier contributed 11 points in the loss to Bald Eagle.

The boys basketball team took a hard fought loss on Wednesday night to Bald Eagle, losing 37-33.

Bellwood got off to a slow start in first half of the game. Bald Eagle took the early lead after the first quarter going up 14-7, they outscored Bellwood again in the second 7-5 leading to a score of 21-12 heading into the second half.

Coming out after the half the boys were able to get it within one by putting up 10 against Bald Eagles mere 2. The fourth quarter was back and forth the entire time keeping the game within reach for Bellwood. In the end Bald Eagle was able to stop the boys run and maintain their lead and come out with the win.

Bellwood got 13 points from senior Anthony Caracciolo and 11 from junior Holden Schreier.

The boys now have a record of 2-6 and travel to Chestnut Ridge tonight for their next match up.
