Olivia Rishel has a passion for cooking in Home Economics!

This week’s Artist of the Week is Olivia Rishel, who has found a passion for the culinary arts.

Olivia is a freshmen at Bellwood-Antis and partakes in volleyball and track, as well as playing the piano.

In her Home Economics class at Bellwood, Olivia is currently working with potatoes. Students are learning to fry, roast, make them into chips, and other tasty ways to prepare a potato.

“I have learned to cook foods that I never thought I would have in my life,” stated Olivia on her personal accomplishments in the class.

Olivia’s favorite aspect of cooking is doing it with friends and the people she loves. “In class I’m motivated to get good grades,” commented Olivia, “but cooking is so much fun regardless!”

Her advice to other students who want to cook is to follow directions carefully and have fun. “Home economics is a great class!”

After school, Olivia plans to go to college to become a marine vet.

Good luck Olivia!
