The Tyrone/Bellwood-antis boys soccer team is on a hot streak with a 3-0 start after defeating Richland 6-0 in Tyrone on Tuesday.
Tyrone also broke a school record “fastest goal in Tyrone history in 14 seconds” scored by Sophomore Gavin Tuskovich assisted by Junior Tytus Novak, which later scored another goal 3 goals for the Eagles and Tuskovich scored another goal later in the game and, senior Rowan Moore which was assisted by Junior Cameron Nelson.
“The game felt electrifying, “said Novak. “The whole team came to play and I’m proud of how we are starting this season. Its nice to get 3 goals after coming so close to scoring the previous games.”
This is the Eagles first time to go undefeated in the first 3 games over 15 years.
“We are playing at a high level,” said Coach Alex Bartlett, a 2014 B-A grad. “Team chemistry is at an all-time high.”
Coach bartlett said the key now is to build off the fast start and not let up.
“Complacency can settle in,” he said. “We are making it a precedent to not allow that to happen, to continue to get better each day.

GIRLS DROP FIRST MATCH TO LADY RAMS
The Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis girls’ soccer team lost on their home field against the Richland Rams Tuesday night.
it wasn’t a blow out, as the score was 3-0.
In the first half the Rams were only up by one. But in the second half they built the score up by netting two goals.
The Lady Eagles were missing three key players in sophomore Maya Plummer and junior Sarah Chichester, as well as senior Marissa Cacciotti, who exited in the second half.
Cacciotti was an All-LHAC all-star last season.
The Lady Rams improved to 4-0, and remain undefeated.
The Lady Eagles’ record goes to 1-1-1.
The Lady Eagles play again on September 4, at Forest Hills.
