The junior high speech team had 10 ribbon-winners at a meet last week in Somerset.

A Bellwood-Antis duo took first place with a perfect score last week at Somerset in a junior high speech meet on Tuesday evening.

Trinity Riva and Emily Zacker took first in the duo category. Following in their footsteps, freshman Daman Mills placed first in impromptu. 

The speech team, coached by Mrs. Kathy Taylor, had seven other students earn ribbons.

Savannah Ray and Annie Legrand & Trinity Maines and Derek Stivers placed fifth in duos. Jocelyn McGuire took fourth in impromptu. Halee Young placed fourth in drama and Abi Eckenrod placed sixth in persuasive.

Thirteen schools participated in the Jr. High speech meet on Tuesday, October 22. The next and final meet is in November 7 at Indiana.
